IN its freshman year of operations, LABL - clothing boutique and basement level hangout for Sag Harbor miscreants - has bounded into the fashion realm with a somewhat metropolitan look on style. Unrivaled in its originality, throughout the Hamptons, LABL hopes to garner a wide fan base throughout Long Island and up to New York City. “Everything starts with baby steps,” ranted David Hess, part owner of and buyer for LABL, “we just have to stay on our feet, looking at what throws our imaginations into inspiration and then staying on top of what people have overlooked.”

LABL has supported local Hamptonian artists and designers such as Edgewood Goodies, Too Shea, and the Arts 4 Collective. “We want to keep a unique perspective on our business” said Robert Hess, owner of the boutique, “we like what turns the eye on as well as what our friends and family have found to be personally and generally aesthetic.”

Much of the allure of the store lies in its mix of metropolitan fashion with Hampton styles that have proved their popularity throughout the region. The ocean beaches and vast bays play a huge part in the wardrobe of summer in the Hamptons. LABL hopes to captivate their audience with a “born and bred” feel to their clothing selection as well as their upcoming line, which will drop as soon as the necessary components are in order.

Stay on the watch for events, collaborations, and new releases.
